“When we think of lucky, we think of it is as a random act of fate”, explains Peter Willians co-author with John Roger, of You can’t Afford the luxury of a negative thought. “In reality lucky accounts for 1percent of blessings we receive in life. The other 99 percent are due to efforts.

“Don’t sit around waiting for luck to happen. It won’t”.

5 steps that will make you lucky

“Through certain attitudes and actions, we can actually attract blessings into our lives.

1- If you want to receive, give. This creates a space (mental and physical) for the new and sets the whole process into action.

2- Make choices. Realize that you can have anything you want but you may not have ev everything you want. Narrow your goals. This frees time and energy so you can obtain what you want and also maintain the blessings you now have.

3-Do something everyday to pursue your goal. Never mind you can’t have it now. You might get it in a different way.

4- Say “want”, not “need” – you’ll feel joyful, not relieved, when you get it.

5- Be thankful – you’re already lucky.

The bottom line is this: while some circumstances are beyond your control, too many of us use the concept of lucky to divorce ourselves from personal responsibility.
